What's good
- Grows with add-on packs instead of being replaced — Jackery quotes about 12 kWh fully expanded
- 6,000-cycle rating, against 4,000 on the Explorer 2000 v2
- 10 ms switchover for UPS-style duty on a fridge, modem or CPAP
What's not
- 120 V only: unlike the Explorer 2000 Plus it replaces, it has no 240 V output, so no 240 V well pump or split-phase transfer switch
- Only the v2 battery pack fits — original Battery Pack 2000 Plus units are not compatible
- 41 lb is a carry, not a lift, for most people
Our verdict
Choose this over the Elite 200 V2 when you expect to add capacity later: extra packs grow the same base unit instead of replacing it. It is a 120 V machine, though — if your plan includes a 240 V well pump or feeding a split-phase transfer switch, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is the one that does 240 V.
