What's good

  • About half the weight of the 200 W panels and under 5.5 ft unfolded: fits a narrow balcony
  • Integrated aluminum stand plus stake holes; Jackery quotes a 60-second setup
  • Bifacial, with the same cable and DC7909 adapter as the bigger SolarSaga

What's not

  • Not compatible with the Explorer 300 v2, 300, 300D or 240D for recharging, per Jackery
  • 100 W rated: one panel takes Jackery's own estimate of about 15 hours to fill an Explorer 1000 v2 in optimal sun
  • Shortest warranty of the three

Our verdict

The right panel when space or weight is the constraint, or the station is small. On a balcony it is easier to angle, move with the sun and bring inside than a 7.5-foot 200 W panel. For a 1 kWh station, though, one Air is a top-up, not a daily recharge: Jackery's own chart puts a single panel at about 15 hours of optimal sun to fill an Explorer 1000 v2, and real balcony light is rarely optimal. Pair two, or buy the SolarSaga 200W.
