LoRa hub + battery sensors

YoLink Water Leak Sensor Starter Kit with Hub (LoRa, 4 Sensors)

A LoRa hub on Ethernet or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with four silent, IP68 leak sensors rated for 5+ years on two AAA cells and up to 2,034 ft open-air range — the kit for a basement, a detached garage or a long house where Wi-Fi sensors drop out.

Best for

Big or multi-level homes, basements and outbuildings where range and battery life matter more than a built-in siren

What's good

  • LoRa reaches the sump pit, the far end of a basement or a detached building that 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi sensors can't
  • Five-plus years on two AAA cells and an IP68 housing — fit and forget
  • Hub on Ethernet, so the alerts don't depend on Wi-Fi being up
  • Four sensors in the kit, one hub for the whole YoLink ecosystem — sirens, valve controllers and more add on later

What's not

  • The sensors are silent: without a YoLink siren, the only alarm is the notification on your phone
  • Everything goes through the hub — if it loses power or internet, app alerts stop (device-to-device pairings keep working)
  • Amazon's YoLink kits bundle a siren and don't match this kit's contents, so the buy link goes to YoLink's own store
  • No shutoff — pair it with YoLink's valve controller or a Moen Flo if you want the water stopped

Our verdict

Choose YoLink when the problem is reach: a sensor at the sump, one behind the basement water heater, one in the garage, all talking to a hub two floors up. Add the siren if anyone is home to hear it; the sensors themselves won't make a sound. It is the better foundation if you plan to grow into a motorised shutoff later.
