What's good

  • Detachable handle makes the whole set nest in one cabinet slot
  • Actual manufacturer-confirmed induction base — most budget nonstick isn't
  • Handle-off pans go straight into the oven

What's not

  • Nonstick coating is a consumable — plan on replacing pans every few years regardless of brand
  • Handle and lids have their own care rules (no dishwasher, no oven)
  • Not the set for high-heat searing

Our verdict

Buyer beware on T-fal generally: the popular Ultimate Hard Anodized line is explicitly not induction-compatible per T-fal's own site. Ingenio Expertise is the line built for induction, and the detachable-handle trick is genuinely useful rather than a gimmick. Treat any nonstick as a consumable and this is a good one.
